Tattelecom starts promo of Huawei smartphone

Russian regional operator Tattelecom, working in the Republic of Tatarstan, has introduced a promotion for customers buying its Huawei Y6s smartphone. Customers buying the device at the operator's shops will get a 3,000 mAh capacity external power bank for a RUB 1 discount rate. 

Tattelecom provides mobile services under the Fly brand.

In an unprecedented move, the government of India on Monday banned 59 Chinese apps, including some big names like TikTok, SHAREit and UC Browser. The move came in the wake of India-China clash at the Galwan Valley that claimed the lives of several Indian soldiers at the LAC. These apps were used extensively in India for entertainment and other purposes. Why these apps were banned?  The information technology ministry, which issued Monday evening's ban order, had cited concerns that the 59 applications are 'prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order'. The banned applications have been removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for India. Murata Reports Improved Earnings Despite Smartphone Sales Slump

(Bloomberg) -- Murata Manufacturing Co., a key component supplier to the world's smartphone market, reported Thursday an increase in operating profit to 52.4 billion yen ($492 million) in the quarter ending March 31. The company outdid its year-earlier results, which were 41.7 billion yen, underscoring industry optimism for 5G demand offsetting the impact of Covid-19 on the global economy. Murata forecast a decline in revenue and profit for the current fiscal year due to the virus. The Kyoto-based firm provides various key components, such as chip capacitors, batteries and circuit boards to top handset makers, including Apple Inc. and Huawei Technologies Co.
